Wyndamah Poll Dorsets and Hay Supplies

History of Wyndamah Stud - Flock No. 2100

Wyndamah was founded in 1973 on carefully selected ewes from producing families within the Mossley Stud.

Mossley was founded in 1939 when a Dorset Horn Stud was formed. The first Poll Dorset Ram was purchased in 1954, making 70 years of Dorset breeding in the Oxley family. In 1994 Mossley was taken over by Graeme and Andrew to expand their Poll Dorset enterprise.

In 2003 the decision was made that Mossley would integrate and come under the Wyndamah banner. Wyndamah has been involved in Sire Evaluation and Progeny trials since the early 80’s and we are still strong supporters to establish a benchmark both with the industry and other studs.

Sires and ewes in the stud must be high performers on Lambplan but importantly, be structurally and physically sound to meet the rigorous conditions of the Mallee as well as the irrigation country. Wyndamah currently has a flock average of 175% carcase+ index.

At the Australian Lamb Industry Convention, Graeme was named “Seed Stock Producer of the Year” for involvement with genetics and the lamb industry.

**Wyndamah is now 16% above the Lambplan National Average for growth and 32% above the Lambplan National Average for muscle.**

At the Australian Lamb Industry Convention, Graeme was named "Seed Stock
Producer of the Year" for involvement with genetics and the lamb industry.

**At the 2004, 2005 & 2006 Hamilton Sheepvention, Wyndamah won the Waratah Trophy - Lambplan Lamb Production Class - Interbreed Pair of Rams.**
